A Cluttered Home Is A Cluttered Mind

  • 1 min read

I’m in the process of decluttering my home and life.

In a few days, we’ll say goodbye to our big apartment.

In a few weeks, we’ll move to an island.

Our goal was to get rid of all the ‘stuff’ that doesn’t provide any value or we don’t need. We almost made it! I’ll share pictures and my story in one of my upcoming articles.

Within the last past weeks, I’ve realized that small purchases can quickly add up. Our home was definitely cluttered (and money wasted) with seemingly must-have items. So it’s no wonder I ran around like a crazy person most of the time.

In fact, research shows that disorganization and cluttered homes are linked.

Clutter increases mental overload, reduces our working memory and our ability to focus.
