Advice From A Recovering Perfectionist

  • 1 min read

Buckle up!

I have a confession to make: I’m a recovering perfectionist.

Once it took me hours to write a post. Now I’m a content machine.

Here’s what I learned:

  • In writing life, it’s all about incremental steps.
  • Little baby steps will also lead you to your goals. You don’t need to jump to the next level right away and here’s the truth:

in 99% of the cases, you won’t be able to jump right away. You’ll need to make babysteps.

The most important thing is to take action.

The act of doing is the win.

So, what’s holding you back?

Fear.

Break the cycle of thinking you have to be perfect even when you are feeling embarrassed. Keep showing up.

Guess, what.

Fear is a beautiful emotion. It tells us we’re in the right direction. Whenever we feel fear it’s a sign of growth.
