They can turn anything from sand to slime into a viral sensation.

The marketing industry says it has somehow overweighted the impact of influencers.

There are a number of brands that are reducing their influencer marketing budget in 2023.


The return on investment (ROI) is very low.

High expenses vs. low returns they are receiving.

Now DTC brands start to right-size their budgets in regard to influencers.

They are more selective with the influencers they are working with.

Also, influencers start to become de-influencers.

By de-influencing videos content creators want their audience to consider cheaper alternatives or “discourage them from spending money in certain categories altogether.”
