Is It Worth Publishing With A Big Publication?

I did an experiment.

In November, I started writing for one of Medium’s biggest publications Better Marketing.

I’m a professional marketer and Tony Stubblebine recommended sharing your expertise and real-life experience.

So I did exactly what he wants from us and wrote four stories for Better Marketing.

My stories were about the new features on Substack, Google’s helpful content update, and Revue shutting down its newsletter service.

So besides primarily writing meta stories about Medium, I added general marketing-related stories to my portfolio.

To be honest, at the moment I often still earn more with one short form post (1 min read) …

…than with a long form post (5 min read) in a big publication.

But that’s just the beginning of my journey.
