MailChimp Will Soon Increase its Prices and Change its Free Plan to Only 500 Subscribers

  • 1 min read

On March 10 the contact limit reduces to 500 for free accounts

Bad news for content creators.

The email service provider MailChimp will increase its prices by 11% on average.

After Gumroad increased its fee to 10% on every sale made, MailChimp announced that it will change its free plan.

I have several email lists. There is one list I host via MailChimp.

I can send an email to more than 1,000 subscribers for free.

On March 10, this option will be gone.

You will only be able to reach 500 subscribers.

Here’s what you can do:

  • upgrade your plan and pay $11/month
  • only send your newsletter to less than 500 subscribers by reducing your contacts

If you’re a newbie — Here’s my tip

However, if you’re just starting out and building your email list, MailChimps free Marketing plan is ideal for you.

You can grow your audience and create campaigns while testing out some of Mailchimp’s tools and features.
