It’s probably the single best feature Substack ever shipped because it creates so much value
Those of you who have been following me for a while know that I have a content triangle:
Medium — Substack — YouTube
Every platform supports one another.
From my social blog on Medium, I link to my videos on YouTube and my newsletter on Substack. And from my other platforms, I’m linking back to Medium.
That’s awesome and super smart, isn't it?
The other day I discovered that I add around 5 new signups to my mailing list on Substack every single day.
So what’s the main driver for my growth?
It’s not YouTube or Medium. It’s Substack itself.
My organic growth is triggered by Substack’s (new) recommendations engine from which I have benefited significantly.
This recommendation engine encourages new subscribers to also consider subscribing to other newsletters recommended by the author.
At the moment, 81 authors are recommending my newsletter and I got 540 new subscribers from these recommendations.
