Seriously? This Writer Plagiarized My Work and Doesn’t Admit It

  • 3 min read

Please help me and report this content thief.

Today I got an email from a fellow subscriber.

This subscriber had been reading one of my recently published stories and had come across another story with almost exactly the same headline and text.

Wait, what?

I couldn't believe it either, so I checked the link my subscriber shared with me.

I was shocked, to say the least.

So I tweeted a screenshot of the article and stated:

“Not sure what to say about this!!!! It’s my story with my image and the author added (now) a Disclaimer that it was rewritten based on my story. However it’s MY story. It’s MY featured image. These are MY screenshots….”

Normally I don’t like to call people out on things…. but right now Medium is a mess for me.

There are so many writers rephrasing my work, putting my stories in GPT 4, and tweaking it.

I don’t know why they are targeting me…. maybe because they see that many people are engaged with my content… it doesn’t matter.

I know there are more writers who had this happen to them Biliz Maharjan’s friend, Jim Clyde Monge

See it for yourself:

This is my original story which is trending at the moment and based on a question I received from a writing coaching student:

And here’s Mir Towsif’s

The difference

I didn’t click it but apparently, he’s linking to an AI tool in the middle of the text. Perhaps the tool that helped him partially rewrite my story?

There’s a new disclaimer stating

Never seen anything like this on Medium.

However, he is getting traction for this story. That’s really insane.

Please help!

It’s not about me.

It’s about you and every writer on this platform!

I asked him to delete the post, but he didn’t respond.

My fellow subscriber asked him to delete it, he said it was not plagiarism.

So please report content thief Mir Towsif. He won’t stop this!
