Wikipedia Changed Its Look — For The Better or The Worse?

  • 2 min read

You need to check out the new reader and search experience first.

Finally, for the first time in ten years, Wikipedia was updated.

Now its 58 million articles better meet the needs of its internet users — right or wrong?

Here’s what’s new:

example Octopus
  • improved table of content: a new table of contents to better explore the content of a specific article
  • language switching tool: you can switch between up to 300 languages when you read an article
  • maximum line width: by limiting the width of long-form articles you get a better reading experience
  • improved search experience: images and descriptions make it super easy to find a result within seconds
  • collapsible sidebar: you can collapse the lengthy menu on the left side of each article to fully focus on the content
  • updates header: the header is pinned and moves with you as you scroll

However, most users want the old Wikipedia back.

How do you feel about it?
